| Plans have been completed and approved for the upcoming Hotel St. Laurent in Clayton. Construction will begin in the Fall of this year (2008.) Inspired by towers remaining from an old castle on Calumet Island, the three storied Hotel St. Laurent will feature classic Adirondack style architecture. Construction of the 48 room hotel will begin in 2008 and is planned to be completed in 2009. Plans for the yearound facility include an indoor pool with twisting slide, sauna, gym, full kitchen and a partitioned dining room capable of seating 150 people.
The old wooden ReMar docks have been removed and will be replaced by steel and concrete. The existing covered/floating docks will be incorporated into the new design. The schematic below depicts the new dock configuration. Marina construction is scheduled to be completed by the opening of the 2008 season. |
